Spokane Floor Company

The best Spokane Floor Company in town. Can't beat our prices!

Longhammer hardwood is a company committed to your satisfaction. Hardwood flooring is a difficult trade with a high callback rate and our goal is to have zero callbacks for fixes. We know this is very difficult but when a fix needs to be done we also make it our business to get in and get the problem fixed right and quickly. We ensure our quality by having two owners who do all the work ourselves, this means you won't have an employee who has no vested interest in your floor working on your floor. We specialize in on-site sand and finish, but we do lots of pre finished hardwood installs as well as laminate flooring.

When I was first learning the trade the company I worked for was horrible at calling people back, at that time I told myself that when I have my own company communication will be a priority. I have found this to be one of the most important factors with customers, they want to know what is going on with their projects, and we strive to always keep you informed.

Longhammer hardwood knows that it is your home and we are just guests in it, with that in mind we are committed to a clean appearance and completely drug free work place. We are non-smokers so we won't bring in any smokey smell that is so often associated with tradesmen working in your home.

Price is a very important aspect of any work you have done in your home especially in a tough economy, we know that hardwood flooring is viewed as a luxury in most homes but we strive to keep our prices affordable based on the value gained through our product. Being as there are no employees and very low overhead in our company we are able to offer what I feel as the best price in our service area.

Finding a Reliable Spokane Flooring Company

Have your floors seen better days? Maybe it’s time to call a Spokane flooring company. The type of flooring we use in our homes is one of the main areas to be considered when it comes to interior design. We like our floors to reflect the care and thought that we put into the rest of our home. But what happens when you floors have seen better days or you’re just looking for something new? You might think you don’t need a Spokane flooring company.

If youve visited your home improvement center lately youve probably admired the big rolls of plush carpeting, the aisles of vinyl, ceramic and marble tiles and the rows of gorgeous hardwood flooring. Youve seen the tools and kits for do-it-yourself installation. So it must be fairly easy for the homeowner to tackle a self installation when it comes to flooring, right? Just because you can do it doesnt necessarily mean that you should. Of course the home improvement centers are happy to sell you everything you need to install your own flooring but if youve never done it before, what will the results be? Hiring a reliable Spokane flooring company is definitely your best option if you want to end up with beautiful floors.

A flooring company maintains a crew of special contractors trained in installing their products. Some flooring companies may specialize in a specific type of flooring. This is especially true of carpeting and hardwood simply because these are probably the two most popular types of flooring. If your rooms have irregular shapes or the flooring you’d like to install requires special adhesives a Spokane flooring company knows how to handle the situation.

There used to be few options as to doing a search for a flooring company. You either had to ask someone you knew for a recommendation of a Spokane flooring company or you picked up the local phone directory and went through the yellow pages. While these are still reliable ways of locating a flooring company, today there are so many other options.

Finding a local Spokane flooring company can be done by searching the internet now and many people take this route. There are a number of directories that maintain a database of qualified professional flooring companies. You may also find that some companies also have their own web sites with images of their products and past projects they have worked on. Seeing the site is really helpful, giving you a view of materials and what the finished job looks like.
This will probably be your best chance to get to know the person a little and will give you the opportunity to ask any questions you might have. If you are ever uncertain about any flooring company don’t feel you are obligated to work with them.

They can write up a bid for you once the Spokane flooring company does a walk through and has some measurements in hand. This should consist of an itemized list of the type of flooring to be installed, the cost per square foot or yard along with a total for materials and the cost of the labor involved. You should also make certain that the flooring company quote includes a date for completion as well as your payment terms. Monthly payments after having made a down payment may be available by some companies while others require full payment up front upon completion of the job.

Before you make your final decision to work with any Spokane flooring company you’ll want to do a background check. Call or visit the local Better Business Bureau to determine if the flooring company has ever had any complaints filed against them. If there are unresolved complaints on file or you have doubts about the company, it’s best to remove them from your list.

Spokane Flooring Company: Making Your Final Choice

While budget is usually a big concern, when it comes to flooring you aren’t looking for the cheapest estimate. A Spokane flooring company might offer some attractive discounts and a low bid but remember that in most cases you’ll be walking on your floor every day so quality, durability and proper installation are important. You want a bid that offers you a balance of all these factors.

After going over all the bids and choosing the Spokane flooring company that you feel is right for your project, its time to get everything in writing. Remember that a bid is not a contract and a hand shake isn’t enough. If you don’t get it in writing and something goes wrong you’ll probably have no recourse but to live with poorly installed flooring. The flooring company contract should spell out in detail everything that was in the bid including the type of flooring to be laid, other materials such as underlayment for hardwood floors or padding for carpeting and the cost of installation.

The Spokane flooring company contract should also include any warranties on materials and guarantees on installation and labor as well as your agreed payment plan. Take the time to think before you sign anything. Remember that the flooring under your feet is probably going to be the most used and abused part of your home. You want to know that it will last and you want to choose a Spokane flooring company that will do the job right.

Troy and David were very professional and delivered an excellent result. My floors and steps look amazing! I have already given their name to someone looking to have their floor re-finished. It is very evident they want to build a good reputation for their business. Not only do they do a good job, they are also very genuine and very nice young men! You will be very pleased with the work they do!

Longhammer's reasonable bid made it possible for us to go ahead with our refinishing project. They started and finished as scheduled and the results are high quality! I would enthusiastically recommend this company to friends. .

Troy was a professional from beginning to end. I could see that the floors could be as beautiful as the are again. Some idiot spilt paint and than glued carpet over this beautiful hardwood floor. Troy made the floors like new again. We love the work that was done. Thanks Troy!
